Case Study: Elevating Brand Identity and Website for Luxury Floral Business

This case study shows how I helped Stephanie Karadzhov of Sophisticated Florals by Stephanie elevate her bespoke brand and redesign her website to showcase her work in the luxury wedding space. The new Squarespace site highlights her organic, artful floral style, features the local shop with curated gifts and unique plants, showcases class offerings and custom deliveries, and gives her a polished, scalable website to grow the wedding and event business.

The Opportunity

As the business grew into the luxury market, driven by its organic, artful approach to floral design, the website and brand experience needed to reflect this elevated level of creativity and stronger focus on wedding florals. The goals were to:

  • Reflect a more refined, design-forward brand identity

  • Replace an outdated WordPress site with a modern, user-friendly platform that’s easy to navigate for both the client and their customers

  • Better communicate services across weddings, events, and the local shop

  • Align the online presence with the quality and artistry of the floral designs

The Approach

We reimagined both the brand identity and website experience, creating a cohesive, elevated presence while improving the user experience and offering opportunity for the business owner to continue to build and grow what they showcase in the portfolio.

Brand Identity Development

  • Created a refined visual identity to position the business within a more luxury market and better align with the current offers

  • Designed a primary logo, submark, and cohesive color palette paired with elevated typography, while maintaining a subtle nod to the florist’s original logo and brand history

  • Designed social media assets for a consistent brand experience across all platforms

Platform Migration & Site Structure

  • Migrated the website from WordPress to Squarespace for a more streamlined, user-friendly backend

  • Built a clear, intuitive site structure to support multiple service offerings with improved navigation

  • Created dedicated pages for Weddings, Events, and Local Shop services

  • Integrated payment processor and ability to sign up for floral design classes

Refined Positioning & Messaging

  • Elevated the brand voice to feel more romantic, artful, and high-end

  • Refined and assisted with copywriting across all pages

  • Aligned messaging with ideal clients in the wedding and event space

  • Introduced more defined shop page to highlight boutique experience, local deliveries and floral design classes offered

Portfolio Built to Expand

  • Designed a clean, scalable portfolio to showcase floral work using the Squarespace blog editor

  • Integrated part of the portfolio on the homepage to showcase work in a way that’s easy to update and keeps the content fresh

  • Organized content to highlight real events and client experiences

  • Incorporated the ability to push content from portfolio to both Google & Pinterest to drive new growth opportunities

Performance & SEO Enhancements

  • Implemented foundational SEO across all pages

  • Optimized titles, descriptions, and on-page structure within Squarespace

  • Added ALT text to images to improve accessibility and support search visibility, working within Squarespace’s capabilities

  • Created URL redirects from the previous WordPress site

  • Provided guidance for integrating Google Search Console

  • Assisted with integrating Pinterest Business

Client Experience & Handoff

  • Provided a pre-project branding exercise to guide creative direction

  • Integrated key features including inquiry forms, payment page, and Instagram feed

  • Delivered a custom onboarding guide along with post-launch support

  • Delivered a final Brand Guide outlining updated brand guidelines and instructions for use

The Outcome

The new brand identity and website now:

  • Reflect the true quality, artistry, and luxury positioning of the business

  • Provide a seamless and easy-to-manage backend experience

  • Support growth across weddings, events, and local shop offerings

  • Establish a strong foundation for ongoing SEO and visibility

Key Takeaway

This project shows how a refreshed brand and website can better showcase the business’s core focus on luxury weddings, attract higher-end clients, and provide a polished, professional presence that supports growth. At the same time, we maintained a connection to the florist’s history and roots, ensuring the story of their artistry and long-standing reputation remains at the heart of the brand.
